TRANSIT VISA

Transit visa is not required if you remain in the transit area of an airport for less than 24 hour without leaving it.

Documents required for the transit visa application

1. Visa Support

Copy of the plane or train tickets for final destination;

Visa to the country of final destination or an official document confirming that visa to the country of final destination is not required.

2. Travel insurance certificate

The medical and repatriation insurance certificate with Russian or worldwide coverage issued by any insurance company. This certificate should contain a name of the insured person and the insurance validity period.

3. Visa application form

We would like to inform you that the Consular Department accepts the only application forms filled via the web-site of the Ministry of Foreign Affaires of Russian Federation: http://visa.kdmid.ru

The application form is to be fully completed, printed out and signed.

In case of any problem we'll help you to fill it in at our office.

4. One recent passport size photo

Glued to the indicated space on the application form.

5. Current passport

Which should be valid for a minimum of six months after the visa's expiration date and has at least 2 blank pages which do not need to be consecutive.

6. Copy of Belgian ID card for non Belgian citizens

7. Proof of Financial Means

If you are unemployed or a student at the time of application, the consulate requires a copy of recent bank statements. The required amount is 1000€ per week of stay in Russia.
