THE VISA REGISTRATION

The new federal law "On the amendments to some legislative acts of the Russian Federation" № 42-ФЗ of the March 20, 2011 is entry into force the March 25, 2011. According to this law on the registration of visa:

A foreign citizen can only be saved to the address of residence with the personal presence of the owner, or to the address of the company inviting.

All foreign citizens arriving in Russia must register their visa within a period of seven working days i.e. send the completed form" form of information on the arrival of the foreign citizen to the place of residence" to the local agency FMS

Then they will receive the strain of the form of information for foreigners. If the registration of your visa (i.e. the dispatch of the form) is made after the expiry of the period of 7 working days since the arrival to Russia you must pay the fine to the police.

Before leaving Russia as well as to move to another place of stay in Russia the foreign citizen must not scratch the migration register in the FMS local, but go the detachable part of the notification form to the output to the border guards or other persons on request.

Thus, the registration of the visa is repeated each time after the entry to the Russian Federation or the replacements of the place of stay in the Russian Federation.

The absence of the record does not allow you to produce the actions defined legal and may be the reason for the fine and of your arrest by the police.

The procedures and conditions for the registration of visa may differ in each city and region of Russia.

If you have stayed at the hotel,the hotel administration must register your visa for the period of your stay.

If the place of residence is an apartment rented the visa can be recorded by the owner of the house (the tenant responsible or the owner of the apartment), or you are arrested. It must fill in the form and to give it to the local branch or FMS to the post. The owner must submit:

His passport (or other documents, confirming its right of possession / residence in the apartment / house) ;
The copies of your passport, visa and migration card.
